Short version: ExNoTrk stores all your data locally on your device. We do not sell, share, or monetise your personal information. Optional cloud features use your own Google account.
ExNoTrk is an independently developed Android application. The app is operated by a solo developer. You can contact us at exnotrk.support@gmail.com.
The following data is created and stored entirely on your phone in an encrypted local database:
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use an optional cloud feature described below.
If you grant the READ_SMS permission, ExNoTrk reads bank transaction SMS messages on your device to automatically create expense records. This processing happens entirely on your phone. No SMS content is ever transmitted to any server, stored in any cloud, or accessed by the developer.
If you choose to connect your Gmail account, ExNoTrk requests read-only access to scan for bank transaction emails. This access is used solely to extract transaction amounts and merchants so they can be added as expense records in the app. ExNoTrk does not store email content, does not access personal or promotional emails, and does not transmit email data to any server.
Gmail data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the expense auto-import feature within ExNoTrk. It is not used for any other purpose, is not shared with any third party, and is not used to serve advertising.
If you sign in with Google, ExNoTrk receives your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. This information is used to display your account in the app settings and to identify your data for cloud backup and split group features. It is not shared with any third party.
If you enable cloud backup, ExNoTrk stores an encrypted backup of your notes and expenses in the app-specific folder of your own Google Drive account. This folder is only accessible to ExNoTrk — no other app can read it, and neither can the developer. Your backup data is counted against your personal Google Drive storage quota (15 GB free).
If you use the split expenses feature, group data (member names, expense amounts, and split calculations) is synced via Firebase Realtime Database to allow real-time collaboration with group members. This data is tied to your Google account UID and is only accessible to authenticated members of the same group. It is deleted when a group is settled and archived (after 90 days).
If you share a note or notebook via a link, the content of that note or book is stored temporarily in Firebase Firestore so that the recipient can view it. Share links expire automatically after 30 days, or sooner if you revoke them. Each user is limited to 10 active shared notes and 10 active shared books at a time.

Local data on your device persists until you uninstall the app or use the in-app data deletion option in Settings. Cloud data (split groups, share links, Drive backup) can be deleted at any time from within the app. You can also request complete deletion of any server-side data by visiting our Data Deletion page or emailing exnotrk.support@gmail.com.
ExNoTrk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
